気候変動とエネルギー：石炭火力の課題に迫る 開催のご案内
気候変動枠組条約第21回締約国会議（COP21）で成立した「パリ協定」では、世界が脱炭素化にむけて大きな転換を図ることに合意しました。COP21後の初の主要国首脳会議となるG7伊勢志摩サミットでは、議題の一つに気候変動とエネルギーが取り上げられる予定です。本シンポジウムでは、各国から専門家をお招きし、気候変動・健康・経済・人権などの様々な観点から石炭火力発電の課題に迫り、脱炭素化への道を探ります。

Pre-G7 International Symposium Climate Change and Energy: Issues of Coal-fire Power Generation
At the Paris climate conference (COP21) in December 2015, all nations reached an agreement to set a long-term goal for decarbonization. The upcoming G7 Ise-Shima Summit in May 2016 is the first meeting for the G7 leaders after COP21. Climate change and energy issues are going to be on the agenda. For this “Pre-G7 International Symposium”, international experts will present issues related to coal-fired power generation with the objectives of climate change, health, economy, and human rights in mind and to explore the path towards decarbonization.
